    So the designer is taking the rule of Judas. Fitting. Spineless bunch. However, I’m having second thoughts about recognizing Kopozky as the Jesus of web-development. Look at him, he has turned green already. No way he’s going to resurrect himself from the dead when the end of the interweb arrives. Lord of zombies he looks more like. Anyway, well done Leonardo, as usual. ;)

    By the way, this strip is - not surprisingly - based on a true story.
    In our case we dodged the bullet and finally convinced the client to buy the Generis. But it was soooo close.

    @Olli:
    Hey, someone who is interested in old-school analogue art! ;) But I think you wrong the unfortunate designer. If I’m not mistaken it is the equally hapless Intern who has to play the role of Judas … (“The Last Supper (Leonardo)” at wikipedia)

    @Leonardo Heyoka:
    From Blog’s 10 commandments: “Thou shallst not critisize any comment of mine!”
    I was referring to the depicted characters’ utterances rather than to their respective position inside the image. (If we’re going to interpret classic art we might start splitting hairs right away.) Isn’t it the designer who is willing to abandon faith in a future of aesthetically pleasing, semantically wellformed interwebz (spells with a Z like in zion), all for mammon’s sake? Let him have his silver coins and then begone with him…! (insert smiley for “striking dramatic pose”) :D

    @Olli:
    OK, I surrender. I am just a humble cartoonist and without Wikipedia I would not have recognized anyone on Leoardo’s painting but that guy in the center. - Hope the Spanish Inquisition will not discover this cartoon.

    *NOBODY* DISCOVERS - erm, EXPECTS … damn.
    Sorry, wrong keyword.

  14. Andrew Williams said on July 18th, 2008:

    I would offer the line myself, but now we all *are* expecting the Spanish Inquisition. Oh well!

    I love the way even the poses are roughly the same as the Last Supper. Mr Kopozky needs to hire new blood!

  15. Olli @ Toonworkshop said on July 21st, 2008:

    @Andrew Williams: Looks more like he’s going to _give_ his flesh and blood. :>

  16. Andrew Williams said on July 21st, 2008:

    Good thing there are only six disciples, then. I doubt there’s much on him to go round…

  17. Ichizu said on July 25th, 2008:

    I love that line - “I will take my time with setting up his new domains”. So true.

  18. Seraphine said on August 8th, 2008:

    I woudn’t say the designer represents Judas

    Isn’t it more bad for the customer to get the design he’d like to have? :)

  19. Andrew Williams said on August 10th, 2008:

    Technically, going by the Last Supper, Judas is represented by the Intern. I note with interest that he is saying nothing…

  20. KWentin said on August 13th, 2008:

    18 - exactly, that’s why he’s already looking depressed :D
